Welcome back! We hope you all had a great Easter. The children have been keen to tell us about their Easter activities (and how many chocolate eggs they have eaten!) Thank you to those parents who have already sent in their WOW slips to tell us about how you celebrated Easter, please keep them coming in, we love to hear about  the children's interests at home.

We have certainly embraced our new topic  'The Great Outdoors' this week. The children were excited to receive a letter and a box of beans from the Giant from Jack and the Beanstalk. We have planted the beans and some giant sunflowers and the children are keen to see the first signs of growth.

The highlight of the week was our Forest School day on Thursday. We  had a fun filled day packed with a range of outdoor activities. The children all had the opportunity to use a palm drill and bow saw to make their own necklaces. They loved hammering wooden pegs to make dens and a large maze. A particular highlight was using pulleys to send soft toy woodland creatures, in baskets, up into trees and along a zip wire!

We would like to say a huge thank you to FOBS for all their help and hard work in clearing the areas for the forest school and also to  the Forest School Leaders, Marijke and Lizz, for planning all the great activities. The Explorers loved the experience and can't wait to do it again!
