KS1 have been investigating materials this week as the introduction to their topic.
Children needed to sort and classify different materials so that our 'Material Monster' could be fed. We were scientists when using specific vocabulary to describe the object, material and properties. We found out that materials can be transparent, translucent or opaque. We also found out that some materials are bendy, flexible and stretchy, whereas some materials are hard or rigid.
