Robert and Kim from the Parish Council came to talk to the children about their ideas for new play equipment at the Lawns and Cockhaven Park.
Our School Council collated ideas and suggestions from the whole school about what play equipment they would like to see. Our classes were lucky enough to meet the Parish Council and discuss their ideas in person. They were able to ask questions about the playparks, how much space and money there was in the budget, as well as think about equipment they wouldn’t like to see installed.
This visit will be very useful later and will begin the children’s next DT project, where they will design their own piece of equipment for the playparks.
