During our maths learning, we have been developing our sorting and matching skills.
During continuous provision, the Explorers have the opportunity to develop their own ideas, make connections and develop mathematical concepts.
We have been asking the questions: What do you notice? What is the same? What is different?
Throughout our day, we provide lots of opportunity to develop talk skills and to explain our thinking.
We enjoyed sorting the buttons, thinking of our own criteria......
'These are the same, they are round and green and have four holes....and they are large ones!'
