This week we have enjoyed our new unit - Additive Reasoning. We started by partitioning numbers and representing this on a place value chart.
Once we knew how to add partitioned numbers (235= 200+ 30+ 5) we then learnt and practised how to use the compact method (column method) to add two numbers together. We used resources to help us understand the process and now we are using this method to answer word problems and reasoning questions.
