We cannot believe we have been back at school for 3 weeks already!

This week, the Pioneers and Inventors were introduced to the 'Carnival of Animals' where they listened to this famous composition and spent time discussing the music and instruments and guessing which animals they thought were being portrayed. It was an interesting task and next week they will be composing and performing their own version, based on an animal of their choice. We can't wait to hear them and guess which animal we think it is!

In maths, we have been looking at multiplying and dividing by 10,100 and 1000 and then applying this in context by converting measures. We also began our ongoing work on addition and subtraction, which we will continue next week.

In literacy, we have been busy researching one of the deadly 60 animals to base our information report on. The children learnt the art of note-taking and how writing can have different purposes.

In PE, we have refined our High-Five netball skills and are starting to play mini games to challenge each other and ourselves. On Wednesday, the year 5 children represented Bishopsteignton Primary School so well at the Netball Festival at TCS.

Well done, year 5 and 6 on some fabulous learning this week!
