Pioneers and Inventors have been studying the Anglo-Saxons and Scots.
The children have settled back into school life extremely well and have been enjoying the first section of their ‘Time Travellers’ topic: the Anglo-Saxons and Scots. After studying finds from archaeological excavations at Sutton Hoo, the children have been extending their understanding of Anglo-Saxon art and culture by examining the artefacts closely. This also provided the opportunity to develop their use of line, shape and form in their wonderfully detailed observational drawings.
