Did you know that Bishopsteignton Primary School has been supporting Shaldon Zoo throughout the latest lockdown?
As a school, we receive free fruit that is normally eaten by our youngest children. With less children in school, we have had a significant amount of fruit left over each week. Answering a plea from Shaldon Zoo, Al our caretaker has been delivering a big box of fruit each week for the animals. As you can imagine, the zoo has been struggling financially without their regular visitors and were very grateful of the donation. We teach our children about the importance of supporting those in our community and this is another example of that in action!
