Linked to Harvest, we have been using our senses to explore pumpkins.
We were great at using our vocabulary to describe the colour, texture and shape of the pumpkins. We learnt that a pumpkin has a stalk, skin, ribs, shell and pulp. The fun part was scooping it out and creating our own mixtures!
We then 'innovated' our story of 'The Little Red Hen' to making soup. Ask your child to tell you our new version!
