    Bean Bag Number Bonds

    13 January 2020 (by admin)

In our maths learning we have been exploring different ways to partition and show numbers to 5.

During our learning time, we played a beanbag throwing game with 5 beanbags. We used our underarm throw to aim for the hoop. We counted how many bean bags were in and out of the hoop. We then recorded our score in pictures and numerals.

We found out 5 can be partitioned into 1 and 4 and 3 and 2. We counted both sets each time to check there were always 5 beanbags. Play the game at home, can you find any more ways to split 5?
