Today we learnt about food chains.
In our Science lesson, we found out that herbivores eat the plants and then they are eaten by carnivores and omnivores, so the food (energy) is passed along the ‘chain’.
In our independent learning, we considered what will happen if one plant or animal in a food chain is removed.
We also discussed the idea of some landowners in Scotland wanting to re-introduce wolves in the area as a way of controlling the deer population. We watched the clip about wolves at Yellowstone Park to support our understanding of the impact of the top predators in the environment.
