News Stories Maya Day Adventures: Learning, Tasting, and Creating Together Today, Voyagers and Discoverers marked the end of their learning journey on the Maya civilisation with a truly memorable and immersive Maya Day. Safer internet day- Looking at uses of AI To mark Safer internet day and the theme of ‘Smart tech, safe choices- Exploring Safe and Responsible use of AI’, Voyagers and Discoverers have spent time learning and reflecting of AI in the modern world. Smart Feet, Soft Hands: This Week in PE This week in PE we continue to work on badminton skills! Brilliant Badminton! Voyagers and Discoverers have been developing their skills in badminton lessons this half term. Exploring Childhood in Maya Society Today in History, we have been learning about the lives of children in Maya society. The class explored the differences between childhoods for the rich and the poor. History reports In our Literacy lessons, Voyagers and Discoverers are going to write their own non-chronological report about our Worldwide History topic: the Maya. Developing our division skills. In Voyagers and Discoverers, the children have been learning how to divide larger numbers by looking at how to partition. This helps them think carefully, use what they already know, and become confident mathematicians. Creative Computing! In our lessons this half term, Voyagers and Discoverers are developing their coding skills using Scratch. History - Maya settlers thriving in a rainforest environment This week, Voyagers and Discoverers were learning about how the Maya settlers survived and thrived in the rainforest. Fantastic Forest School! Year 3 really enjoyed their first Forest School session in school this week!
