Today we wrapped up our loom weaving project, marking the end of a creative and rewarding Art unit on textiles.
Over the past two weeks, the children have developed a wide range of practical, motor, and creative skills as they learned to weave using a loom. They carefully threaded and guided wool with precision, demonstrating growing fine motor control and hand-eye coordination. Through repeated practice, they improved their ability to recognise and follow patterns, sequence their designs, and think critically to solve small weaving challenges along the way. Patience and perseverance were key, and it was wonderful to see the children take such pride in their progress. Despite a few tricky moments, the classroom has been filled with excitement, collaboration, and a real sense of achievement as everyone shared, compared, and admired each other’s work.
