KS1 have been learning about smugglers from our local area, in particular John Rattenbury who was known to operate in Devon.
KS1 have made some fantastic posters to help find and capture Joh Rattenbury. We spoke about how John Rattenbury often wore disguises so we actually weren't really sure what he really looked like! The children shared why Devon was a good place for smugglers as it has lots of caves and isolated coves so that smugglers could hide their goods in secrecy.
