Exploding Leaflet Research6 November 2025 (by admin) |
As part of our 'Extreme Earth' Topic this half term, Pioneers and Inventors are creating exploding leaflets in their Literacy lessons to inform the reader all about how volcanoes are formed and what their key features are.
The children have spent time in Literacy (building on their Geographical learning) to find out all they can about why people may choose to live near active volcanoes, how they are created, why they erupt and more! They have used various resources to research: their WCGR and Geography learning, Topic books and Chromebooks, and it has been fantastic to see them applying their understanding across the curriculum. Some of our children have delved into very involved conversations around the movement of tectonic plates and given very clear demonstrations of how they move. It has been lovely to see their curiosity grow and hear all the questions they have around how these natural phenomenon's occur.
