This week in PE we continue to work on badminton skills!
We started the lesson with a fun paired activity called “Mirror Me,” where children copied a partner’s movements to improve footwork, balance, and coordination.
Next, the children practiced key racket grips for forehand and backhand shots. They first used balloons to help feel and see the correct grip when switching between shots, then applied these skills with shuttlecocks in practical drills, focusing on aim, control, and movement.
The lesson finished with gentle stretches and a reflection on which grips and footwork helped them stay in control during rallies.
It was fantastic to see the children building confidence, coordination, and control in badminton while enjoying the activities!
