Pioneers and Inventors have been working hard on developing their racket skills in our new badminton unit in PE this half term.
They have been mastering defensive and attacking shots using the 'thumb' grip and 'V' grip and learning how to apply the correct force when returning the shuttle over the net. It has been lovely to see how enthusiastic the children are to develop these new skills - especially as the grips don't always feel completely natural! They have also shown excellent care and collaboration when supporting one another to build upon on their learning and make improvements. Super work Years 5 and 6, we can't wait to see you in game play at the end of term!
