Discoverers' and Voyagers' classrooms transformed into a bustling design studios this week as the children took complete control in starting to create miniature playground apparatus prototypes.
It was fantastic to see our young builders apply their past lessons with incredible confidence, making independent decisions at every stage of construction after revisiting previous skills and watching video clips of other prototypes as inspiration. They carefully selected materials like cardboard, dowels, and string based on structural needs, and independently chose the best joining techniques, skillfully switching between tape, glue guns, and reinforcement triangles. They also measured and cut components accurately as part of our focus on sustainability at Bishops and not wasting materials.
We are incredibly proud of their teamwork, resilience and problem solving. Well done everyone and we can't wait to see the finished products.
