We have continued using different techniques in our aim to produce the perfect volcano or tsunami artwork as part of our Extreme Earth topic. After studying watercolours, the children practised their skills by creating a flat, graded and graded colour wash, as well as lifting off paint using a paper towel and splattering wet paint onto dry paint. They found splattering the most enjoyable and rewarding technique. We look forward to seeing the children continue experimenting with these new techniques to produce their own artistic creations.
