In phonics, children have been finding their sound buttons in a range of words.
Children had to mark their dots and dashes onto the words to show digraphs, trigraphs and even split digraphs! This helped them to read the words carefully with the correct sounds which is a fantastic reading strategy. Ask your children about digraphs, trigraphs and split digraphs. Can they spot them in their reading books?
