The children have learnt the countries and capital cities of the UK. They have now begun process of learning the continents and oceans of the world.
The children made their own maps of the world and then used clues to correctly place each continent's biggest lighthouse. The biggest lighthouse is in Asia and is 188 metres tall! This activity fuelled the children's curiosity and they found out many more facts about each continent. Next we will learn about the most extreme windy weather event on each continent!
