• Victorian Lessons
  In today's Topic lesson, the children took part in Victorian role play activities. We had English lessons where we used slate (and some black paper with chalk) to write on as well as practising chanting poems at the same time.
• Chinese New Year Celebrations
  Today we made a stir fry. We used knives and peelers to prepare the vegetables, later we used the microwave to cook the noodles.
• Words Hoops
  Today in phonics some of the Explorers played a physical reading game.
• Writing Digraphs
  We are becoming brilliant readers and writers. We have been learning how to recognise our digraph sounds (two letters holding hands and making one sound) in words and captions.
• Exploring 8
  Today we found out about the number 8.
• Design Technology
  In our Design Technology lesson this week, we studied Roman aqueduct design.
• Dragon's Den
  We have been learning about Victorian inventions. We found out about the problems that were solved by these inventions.
• Sharing our Poems!
  We have now completed our poetry unit and we were so proud to share our finished poems with each other today.
• Habitats
  We learnt about habitats this week in our Science lessons.
• Cake Sale for Australia
  On Monday 27th January we will be having a cake sale after school in the playground to raise money for the people and animals of Australia.
