  This week in our maths learning we have been matching objects.

  Pioneers and Inventors have been developing their Tag Rugby skills.

  On Wednesday, we had a Topic day which the children loved!
• Topic Day- Part 2
  In the afternoon of our Topic Day, we explored how cave art was created and thought about why these painting are an important source of evidence of prehistoric times.
• Anglo-Saxon Art!
  Pioneers and Inventors have been studying the Anglo-Saxons and Scots.
• Ekphrastic Fantastic!
  Well done to those children who entered the Somerset Literacy Network Poetry Competition last term. Children who were in Adventurers and Investigators last academic year used a picture from The Lonely Sea Dragon to inspire their poems.
• Tennis
  Year 3/4 have had a fantastic start to learning the skills needed to play tennis in their PE sessions!
• Our Fantastic Phonics
  KS1's phonics lessons are in full swing, with the children continuing to learn how to read and write.
• Stone Age!
  All Year 3/4 have had a fantastic first week back and have settled in to new routines brilliantly!
• Stay and Play
  We have enjoyed meeting some of our new Explorers and their adults this week. It has been a very positive and calm introduction to school life.
