• Adventurers are going on a tree hunt!
  After learning about deciduous and evergreen trees in our Science lesson today, the Adventurers explored the school grounds to find and identify the different trees.
• Exploring Childhood in Maya Society
  Today in History, we have been learning about the lives of children in Maya society. The class explored the differences between childhoods for the rich and the poor.
• Once Upon a Mermaid's Tail
  At Preschool we have been sharing the story of Once Upon a Mermaid’s Tail which explores the importance of caring for and respecting our natural world, environment and living things.
• History reports 
  In our Literacy lessons, Voyagers and Discoverers are going to write their own non-chronological report about our Worldwide History topic: the Maya. 
• 6,7,8!
  In maths this week we have been representing, making and matching the numbers 6, 7 and 8!
• Rhythm experts
  Year 2 have been learning about rhythm in music and how to write down the rhythms that we hear.
• Adaptation Investigation
  Children in Pioneers and Inventors have been looking at the work of Charles Darwin and learning about how animals are adapted and best suited for their environment.
• Life in Ancient Greece
  The children have been working really hard over the last few weeks to find out what life was like in Ancient Greece and to learn how the Ancient Greeks have impacted the Western World.
• Clockwork Hot-Seating
  In Literacy this half term, children in Pioneers and Inventors have been reading the story 'Clockwork' (by Philip Pullman) and putting themselves into the shoes of some of the characters.
• The Creation Story
  In RE we have been thinking about how amazing the world is and exploring the Christian belief that God made the whole world.
