  Today, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the new building of Bishopsteignton Primary School being opened.

  KS1 had a special visitor from our local church today to help us learn more about our RE topic this half term.

  Year 1 explored the playground to find 2D shapes.
• Doubling, doubling, doubling!
  In Voyagers and Discoverers this week, we have been using doubling to help with understanding and recall of multiplication facts.
• Learning about the ‘Trinity’
  Voyagers and Discoverers have been learning about the ‘Trinity’ and why it is important to Christians.
• Making our Weather Vanes
  KS1 have got to the make part of the their DT project this half term- making their weather vane.
• Peace at Last!
  As a hook into our new literacy text, the children were amazed to discover a sleepy bear in our role play!
• Being Kind
  To kickstart ‘Anti Bullying’ week we came to school wearing odd socks. It was a great opportunity to celebrate what makes each of us special and unique.

  Diwali is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness.
